- Account Information: Email address when you create an account
- Profile Data: Optional information such as display name, birth date (for age verification), and location (city/country) if you choose to provide it
- Usage Data: Information about how you use the app, including sessions created, features used, and listening patterns
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and timezone
- Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe; we do not store your payment card details
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our audio engineering service
- Personalize your experience based on your preferences and usage patterns
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send you important updates about your account and the service
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our algorithms and features
- Ensure the security and integrity of our service
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use Supabase for our database infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit. Audio files you generate are stored at private, unguessable addresses linked to your account; they are not listed publicly, but anyone you share a session link with will be able to access that session's audio. Deleting your account permanently removes your audio files from storage.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing
- Language and Audio Processing Providers: When you describe how you want to feel or perform, the text of your session request is sent to third-party language-processing and audio-generation providers so The Velantrix Engine can construct your session. These providers process your request text to generate your session and do not receive your name, email address, or account details alongside it
- Cloud Infrastructure: For database, storage, and authentication services
Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. Please avoid including personal identifying information (such as full names or contact details) in your session descriptions.
5. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: Delete your account and personal information through the app settings
- Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
6. Anonymized Data for Product Improvement and Research
By using Velantrix, you agree that we may use your anonymized and aggregated data for the following purposes:
- Product Improvement: Anonymized usage patterns, session outcomes, and interaction data are used to improve the Velantrix Engine's algorithms and personalization capabilities
- Anonymized Research: Aggregated, de-identified data may be used in published research studies exploring the effectiveness of structured audio for cognitive wellness
All data used for these purposes is stripped of personally identifiable information. Individual users cannot be identified from any research outputs.
7. Data Retention and Anonymization
Data is anonymized after 90 days. If you delete your account, your personal information is permanently removed but anonymized usage data is retained to improve the platform.
8. Children's Privacy
Velantrix is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
